Chapter: 5

The morning sun filtered through the half-drawn curtains of Adrian's office, casting diagonal shadows across the polished oak desk where he had spent countless hours contemplating his next move. The city's skyline gleamed outside, a testament to the empire he had built from the ashes of his family's tragedy. Yet, even as he surveyed his domain, a sense of unease settled in his gut. The betrayal by Nicholas still weighed heavily on him, igniting a fire of vengeance that simmered just beneath the surface.

“Michael,” he called, his voice steady despite the storm brewing inside him. The door swung open, and his second-in-command stepped in, a notepad in hand and a look of anticipation on his face.

“What's the plan?” Michael asked, his tone professional but laced with concern.

Adrian leaned back in his chair, his mind racing. “We need to track down Black Fairy. If there's any chance of salvaging the information Nicholas lost, she’s our best shot.”

Michael nodded, scribbling notes. “Zakov’s hacker is on the way. Should we also consider a backup plan?”

Adrian’s lips curled into a faint smile, the thrill of the chase igniting his spirit. “Always. But first, I want to confront Nicholas. He needs to understand the weight of his actions. Schedule a meeting for tonight.”

As the day wore on, Adrian buried himself in work, his thoughts oscillating between strategies for dealing with Nicholas and the gnawing guilt of his own past decisions. He recalled the moment he’d received the news of his family's assassination, the despair that had gripped him, and the subsequent awakening of a darker ambition. The world of power and betrayal was a treacherous one, and he was knee-deep in its murky waters.

Later that evening, Adrian sat across from Nicholas in a dimly lit private room of a high-end restaurant. The air was thick with tension, the clinking of silverware and murmurs of other patrons fading into the background. Nicholas was visibly shaken, a stark contrast to the confident man Adrian once knew. He had lost everything—his wife, his standing, and now, his future.

“You’ve made a mistake, Nicholas,” Adrian said, his voice low but firm. “You compromised everything. The Italians are not just going to walk away because you ask nicely.”

Nicholas’s hands trembled, his eyes darting around as if searching for an escape. “I can fix this. Just give me time. I’ll find out what my wife told them, I promise.”

Adrian leaned in closer, his expression hardening. “Time is a luxury you no longer have. You either deliver results, or I’ll ensure you never see another dawn.”

As the words hung in the air, a figure entered the restaurant—a MAN walked in, he scanned his surroundings, he stood in front of Adrian, saying, "Sir, I am Emilo." his voice echoed with confidence, and "Zakov sir, sent me for your technical problems." I hummed and told Michael to escort him to our office and find a way to retrieve the information. Any means.

The stakes had just risen. Adrian felt the weight of the moment—every decision he made could either solidify his power or send him tumbling into the abyss.

As the night wore on, Adrian couldn't help but contemplate the implications of this new alliance. Would this man prove to be a valuable asset, or another thread in the web of deceit that surrounded him?

With the specter of betrayal looming large, Adrian understood one thing: the game was just beginning, and he had to be prepared for whatever came next. The shadows of his past were closing in, and he would need to navigate them carefully to emerge victorious.

With this thought lingering in his mind, his thoughts suddenly shifted to that enigmatic woman. Who caught his attention at MIT University, she was captivating, she had everything: a great curvy body, I didn't like curvy bodies, women, but after seeing her my mind messed up, her jet black hair, her confidence her aura that make me speechless anyone wouldn't dare to look at me but she hold a eye contact with me like she wasn't afraid of me her eye color was black like my soul I don't know why I was thinking of her no women ever invade my thoughts like this. The night was far from over, and the unfolding drama promised to test Adrian's resolve like never before.

As he left the restaurant, he knew that the path ahead would be fraught with peril, but also filled with the potential for greatness. He was ready to face it all, one calculated move at a time.

And about that black fairy, he kidnapped him 2 days ago, and his men were torturing him because of that mother fucker. He lost some major information from his company under his nose, and he wasn't leaving that bastard easily. He played with his time and patience; he will give him a slow, torturous death. Now he is heading towards the abandoned factory with Michael, where they had him. When they reached, he opened his Aston Martin door and stepped out. He was going inside when they reached, and he saw his guy torturing that guy with electric shock.
When his men saw him, they halted their work and stepped beside, bowed their heads in front of him, and one of them said," Boss, he is not saying anything. He also denied that he didn't do that work." I narrowed my eyes black fairy so you are that hacker who built that filthy firewall for me so people could easily retrieve information from me how dare you I paid you 300 Millon dollar you built me that filthy firewall" my voice thundered the whole factory everyone flinched at my tone leaving Micheal he stayed by my side all those years he knows I don't forgive anyone easily who betray me. " Burn him alive in his car and make it look like it's an accident," I ordered my man as we stepped out of the factory. We heard his scream of pleas, but that didn't satisfy me after his death; maybe it will extinguish my inner fire.
Michael told me that tomorrow all the students who won the competition at the university will come for interview, and their practice will start, which means my little bird will come tomorrow, and then I have to be there to welcome her. " make sure there isn't any mistake tomorrow also start their competitions " he nodded his head and said " I will take care of it don't worry". I hummed and asked him," Do you remember that girl in the last row who completed her task in 6 minutes? I want that girl's information. He looked at me first, shocked because in those 20 years when I was with him, I didn't show any interest in any girl. Then he concealed his expression, and he nodded as we drove towards my penthouse.
